Welcome to This Imperfect Now! Thank you for stopping by.

My name is Lori. I am a highly-sensitive introvert. INFP. Enneagram 4. Self-proclaimed writer.

Lover of dogs (and most fuzzy things), nature hikes, ice cream, books (especially long epic fantasy), coffee, tea, blankets, Netflix, and all things nerdy.

I hate drama but am secretly often quite dramatic. Seek calm, but am usually overly intense. And am all-around an emotional rollercoaster.

I live with my amazing, zen-level-of-calm husband, Chad, and our slightly psychotic cat, Syl (after the character from Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive), in a small apartment in Maryland.

I am currently deconstructing my Conservative Christian faith. These days I identify most closely with Progressive Christianity, although I sometimes harbor paralyzing fears that I might be agnostic. Although, as I’ve wailed to my husband (again dramatic), I am not cut out to be an atheist.

I struggle daily with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and a constant urge to discover my ultimate life‘s purpose only to change my mind tomorrow.

In short, I am a lovable mess, or so people tells me.

See My Story for more about me and the blog.
